VARSITY HEAD COACH FRICK FRIERSON: Coach Frierson has completed fifteen years as Head Coach of the Chapelgate Varsity basketball team and a total of eighteen years as a high school Varsity Head Coach. He has won over 200 games while at Chapelgate. He has won two MIAA Championships and three Maryland Christian School Tournament Championships. In 2015, he led the Howard County (MD) All Star team to two wins in the post season in the annual Howard County Seniors Only All Star Game and against the Carroll County (MD) All Star Team. In 2018, he coached the Private Schools Team to a 110-89 win over the Public Schools Team at the annual Roundball Classic in Hagerstown, MD. He also served four seasons as Head Coach of the JV Chapelgate basketball team winning one MIAA JV Championship. Prior to the Chapelgate years, Coach Frierson served for three seasons as the Head Varsity Basketball Coach of the Straight Shooters at the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia, SC compiling a 15-13 record. He played JV and Varsity basketball at Richland Northeast High School in Columbia, SC and played in the Philippines with Athletes in Action in 1990 and in Guatemala and El Salvador with Sports Ambassadors in 1995. He and his wife, Amy, have four children all of whom graduated from Chapelgate. Son Nate played basketball at Chapelgate and Covenant College, son Gordie played basketball at Chapelgate and also played at Columbia International University after transferring following a season at Houghton College, daughter Lydia played soccer at Chapelgate and also played soccer and ran track at Charleston Southern University, and son Matthew played basketball for Chapelgate and is now a basketball player at The Citadel. Thirty players who played Varsity basketball at Chapelgate during Coach Frierson's tenure have gone on to play college basketball at the NCAA Division I, II, and III levels as well as players moving on to compete in the NCCAA, NAIA, and JUCO. Coach Frierson is a member of the National Youth Sports Coaches Association.

JV HEAD COACH AND VARSITY ASSISTANT HEAD COACH CHRIS TRINGALI: Coach Tringali has completed seven seasons as the Head JV Coach at Chapelgate. Coach Tringali coached AAU basketball for seven years with the HC Elite AAU team. He has coached youth sports for a total of thirteen years. Coach Tringali played JV and Varsity football and lacrosse at Randallstown High School and played Club Basketball with the Randallstown Optimist Mavericks. He is certified as a personal trainer and won the Maryland State Bodybuilding Title in 2003 and 2005. His son, Jake, played basketball at Chapelgate for both the JV and Varsity teams. Coach Tringali and his wife, Jen, have a daughter, Mariah, who graduated from Chapelgate as well. Jen has served as an Assistant Volleyball Coach at Chapelgate.

VARSITY ASSISTANT COACH ZAC GRANDY: Coach Grandy has served for ten seasons at Chapelgate as a Varsity Assistant Coach. He has coached youth basketball at the Laurel Boys and Girls Club in Laurel, MD. He played Varsity basketball at Southwestern High School in Baltimore, MD. He also played on various military basketball teams while serving in the Army. He has had three sons play basketball at Chapelgate and in college. Patrick played at Anne Arundel Community College, Chris played at Erskine College, and Malik played at Wheeling Jesuit University. 

VARSITY ASSISTANT COACH KEN KRABITZ: Coach Krabitz has completed two years on the Chapelgate coaching staff. He served as a Varsity Assistant Coach for three seasons at Western Tech High School and one season as a JV Assistant Coach there. He also compiled a 76-25 record as the Freshman team Head Coach at Mt. St. Joe's High School winning two MIAA Freshman team Championships. While at Mt. St. Joe's, he also coached the JV team to a 62-16 record in three seasons. Coach Krabitz has been a coach in the Catonsville Rec basketball program for years serving in multiple other capacities as well. He played high school basketball at Mt. St. Joe's before going on to play at Randolph Macon College. His wife, Erica, works at Chapelgate and they have two daughters enrolled at Chapelgate who are both in the girls basketball program. In his coaching career, he has coached numerous players who have gone on to play in college and professionally overseas including two players who have made it to the NBA. Coach Krabitz also serves as Chapelgate's Athletic Director. 

JV ASSISTANT COACH MARTEZ BECKETT: Martez Beckett joins the Chapelgate coaching staff for the first time this season. However, Coach Beckett is no stranger to Chapelgate. He played JV and Varsity basketball at Chapelgate and then went on to play four years of college basketball at Wilson College. While in college, Coach Beckett completed a coaching internship summer school course with Chapelgate basketball. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL HEAD COACH JOHN MILANO: John Milano joins us for his first year of coaching at Chapelgate for the fall 2019 season. His son, Jack, plays on our middle school team as well. Coach Milano is a member of the Drew University Basketball Hall of Fame and graduated as the all time leading scorer in the history of the school. He has coached both girls and boys from clinic age players through the fifth grade. He has also been an assistant coach for a high school boys varsity team. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL ASSISTANT COACH CORY LOVE: Cory Love returns to coach Chapelgate's middle school team for the fall of 2019. Coach Love has served previuosly as the Head Coach for middle school, assistant coach for JV, and assistant coach for Varsity. He played middle and high school basketball at Chapelgate as well. 

TEAM CHAPLAIN JOHN RADCLIFFE: "Mr. John" is a seminary student at Metro Baltimore Seminary. He played football and lacrosse at Wilde Lake High School and Club Lacrosse at the University of Maryland. His sister attended Chapelgate Academy while he grew up in Chapelgate Church with his family. John played off season leagues with Chapelgate basketball in elementary school.
